Learn GTO vs GTO Wizard
GTO Wizard is a solver-browser and GTO study platform, built for players who already think in terms of solver outputs and want to explore precomputed solutions in depth. Learn GTO is a preflop course and drill trainer with an equity calculator that runs in your browser, at $19.99 a month with a 7-day trial when checkout opens, and everything opening without a card in the meantime. They solve different problems, and this page says which is which.
Where Learn GTO differs
Each row is a statement about Learn GTO that you can check on this site. Nothing here quotes GTO Wizard's pricing or feature list, that changes, and it is theirs to state.
What you are looking at
Learn GTO gives you a range you can memorise and a drill that grades you against it. It does not put a solver browser in front of you, because reading solver output is a skill in itself and most players want the conclusion.
Where the maths runs
Every equity figure on Learn GTO is computed in your own browser, in a Web Worker, from the cards you type. Nothing is uploaded and there is no query limit.
What needs no plan
The equity calculator, all 169 starting-hand pages, the matchup library and the hand rankings need no plan. The course is the subscription.
Price
$19.99 a month or $89.99 a year, $7.50 / month on the annual plan.
What GTO Wizard does better
A comparison page with nothing in this section is an advert. These are real.
- Depth of precomputed solutions. If you want to interrogate a specific river node across many bet sizes, a solver browser is the right tool and Learn GTO is not.
- Postflop coverage. Learn GTO drills preflop; a solver platform covers every street.
- Custom solve configurations for specific stack depths and formats.
Pick GTO Wizard if…
You already read solver output comfortably and want to explore trees rather than be told an answer.
Pick Learn GTO if…
You want the preflop decision to become automatic, and a calculator that answers instantly without a subscription attached to it.
Questions
Is Learn GTO a good GTO Wizard alternative?
It depends what you are missing. You want the preflop decision to become automatic, and a calculator that answers instantly without a subscription attached to it. If instead you already read solver output comfortably and want to explore trees rather than be told an answer., then GTO Wizard is the better fit and this page is not trying to talk you out of it.
What does Learn GTO cost?
$19.99 a month or $89.99 a year, $7.50 / month on the annual plan, with a 7-day trial once checkout opens. Nothing can be bought today. That price covers the course and the preflop trainer; the equity calculator and every reference page need no plan.
Can I use both?
Yes, and plenty of people do. Learn GTO is deliberately narrow, preflop decisions until they are automatic, plus a calculator that answers instantly. It is a poor replacement for a deep postflop library and a good complement to one.
Where do Learn GTO’s numbers come from?
Equity is computed in your browser: every possible runout is evaluated on any board of three cards or more, and 100,000 random runouts are sampled preflop. Every result states which method produced it. The preflop ranges are reference charts approximating published GTO-adjacent strategies, labelled as such on every chart page.
